Descrizione: Laya Films documentary produced during the Spanish Civil War which aims to show the effects of war on the Spanish civilian population. It begins with images showing rural life, with farmers cultivating the land, followed by shots of children on their way to school. This life is seen to come to an abrupt halt after 1936. Images of people running to shelters, houses in flames and the ruined remains, people trapped under the rubble. Catalonia has become a place of safety, welcoming refugees who have been forced to leave their homes in order to seek shelter and food.
